It’s time to face an unfortunate truth: the post-Hillary Democratic Party is the Axis Party.
The nightmare scenario previously here is now coming true: Democrats, guided by Axis Voices From The Region, demented “realists,” crypto-Aryanists, and Long March Bernouts, are showing the world that America’s Back by making an example of Turkey while striking deals with the Axis, particularly around “climate change.”
Yes, even as Turkey continues the trial in abstentia for Jamal Khashoggi’s murderers, it faces Khashoggi sanctions. Which of course have never been applied to Russia, China, Iran, or the Assad regime, which actually does brutally murder its opponents overseas, even if they’re American citizens.
Of course, the unprecedented bullying of Turkey, the only power to willingly fight the Axis (all other forces engaged against the Axis were directly attacked by it, while Turkey was not - unless you include proxy forces), would be of less consequence if the United States stepped in and filled this role, launching a Big Khasham against Russian forces in all theaters, or at least the big three - Syria, Ukraine, and Libya.
It would be exceedingly easy to do so, as most Russian forces in these areas are unmarked “mercenaries” that Russia denies are even theirs, while regular units are already under attack from forces that only need better weapons.
Yet… that isn’t happening at all. Not after years of liberal whinging about Russiagate, #MoscowMitch, the NRA, or Trump being a Russian puppet. Nothing except a few sanctions, even as Putin gets a special invite to tell us how it’s important to make sure your military green while it’s bombing the “Syrian refugees” Democrats pretend to care for (and which “anti-Russia” Democrats remain oddly silent about, while #Cheetolini himself told Russia to knock it off).
And that’s just the part about the Democratic coddling of Russia. Nevermind the desire to manage China’s rise more like that of a pop star and less like that of an existential threat. Or their obsequience toward the real-life Gilead, Iran - even as it punks them in return for their pathetic groveling.
How did this happen? How did the party nominally opposed to everything the Axis stands for become its chaperone to global power?
The short answer is that Hillary was defeated by a world-historic conspiracy (though she could run again - after all, if we had Trump and Biden at advanced ages, why not Hilleesi?) and the Democratic Party is now run by several factions that ascribe to varying shades of America First.
Of course, that conspiracy was absolutely in no way enabled by the Obama Administration’s radical inaction against Russia in 2016 (or years prior), despite a plethora of opportunities to put a price on their interference. In no way did the Administration that already saw itself as locked in a mortal power struggle with Hillaryism for control of the future of the Democratic Party see a foreign power ready to deliver it the death blow and do nothing to stop it. An Administration whose first reaction to around 1,500 Syrians, including 500 or more children, being gassed to death in their sleep was “[i]t will drive a stake through the heart of neoconservatism” would never be so cynical as to stand down while Russia did their dirty work for them against their only rival.
The defeat of Hillaryism set into place dynamics which favor the Axis and are actively hostile to forces that would oppose them. Like water, Democratic energies now flow toward eroding the pillars standing against reaction internationally, even as they go through the motions of “restoring American power.”
The sad irony here is that the shrinking island of Democrats who could still fight for a vision consistent with the Party’s stated values remain bogged down fighting the ghost of Bernie Sanders and his influencers, even as the most dangerous part of his vision - leveraging American power to ensure a global Axis triumph - becomes the standard position of the wider Democratic Party - often due to the work of his surrogates.
As it stands, the Democratic Party laughs at the notion the Axis even exists. The entire modern project of creating a cultural and budding economic autarky, where history begins and ends with the US as a white supremacist settler-colonial state, demands it. That has left the stage wide open for Republicans to seize as their own - and they already are.
The fact is that anyone within the Democratic Party who speaks about the Axis, identifies their nodes of power within the Party, or who proposes courses of action that are actually consistent with the Party’s supposed values is viewed as if they’re from an alternate dimension - because in Democratic cosmology, they are.
This, frankly, will not change. There are simply too few to do it, even after years of working toward building such a constituency within the Party. Change will have to come from without if Hillary does not run again.
That change will, of course, take the form of the Axis getting even bigger drops than they already have. And this will come a a rude surprise to Axis liberals. Despite the stances of the political leadership, it’s beyond clear at this point that elements of the military bureaucracy are preparing us for The Great Trial.
One way or another, Democrats will run into the reality that the Axis, in the end, is not on their side. Whether even that’s enough to change anything remains to be seen.
The Democratic Party Is The Axis Party
